"Illinois is poised to become the next state to mandate paid leave for nearly all workers.

Monday, Gov. J.B. Pritzker is set to sign into law the “Paid Leave for All Workers Act,” which states that employees will accrue at least one hour of paid leave for every 40 hours worked up to 40 hours total."
