Volunteer with the Center for Disability & Elder Law

The Chicago Paralegal Association (CPA) is proud to partner with the Center for Disability & Elder Law (CDEL) to present a magnificent pro bono/volunteer opportunity!

Members can volunteer as a part of CDEL's Early Resolution Program (ERP). 

The ERP Hardship Dismissal Program involves getting consumer debt cases dismissed for seniors or people with disabilities, easing both their finances and their peace of mind.

- Volunteers will work directly with CDEL's clients and their creditors to request that cases be dismissed based on the client's financial situation.

- CDEL attorneys provide training, template letters, and support throughout the volunteer process.

- Flexible time commitment. Approximately 4 hours per month, structured around the volunteer's schedule.

- This is a virtual program; volunteers will work remotely.
